The Mystery Writers of America (MWA) is a professional organization of mystery and crime writers, based in New York City. The organization was founded in 1945 by <a href="https://openlibrary.org/authors/OL1080559A/" target="_blank">Clayton Rawson</a>, <a href="https://openlibrary.org/authors/OL1197683A" target="_blank">Anthony Boucher</a>, <a href="https://openlibrary.org/authors/OL406798A" target="_blank">Lawrence Treat</a>, and <a href="https://openlibrary.org/authors/OL2180760A/" target="_blank">Brett Halliday</a>.
