This Archives contains the original references of files and organizational structure for the following European institutions: the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the European Economic Community (EEC), the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom) and the current European Community. Access to documents less than 30 years old is possible under certain conditions. In other archives established in the various institutions, the same documents are available on microform. The Historical Archives also acquired papers of European politicians or officials, or archives of European associations, parties and organisations that have played a significant part in the march towards European integration, as well as copies of documents held in other repositories which complement the existing collections or relate to European unification."
