In the fall of 2009, the students of Ormsby Elementary school and the editors came together with a simple plan: design and create a book for kids, written by kids.In the ensuing months, we learned "affle" was "awful," that "threw" wasn't always "through," and that "principles" were standards you lived by, and a "principal" was the person in charge of the school. Through it all-the lost files, accidentally deleted stories, the shortage of computers and broken pencils-we gained a sense of accomplishment, a new way of viewing the world and ourselves, and of course, we gained our anthology.
