Two tales of murder, vengeance and crime unfold in distinct settings. Defiance tells the story of an urban don while Doness is more classic gangster fiction with a twist.Doness features Felicia who lost her father at a young age. Her father was connected to organized crime. It's a life that she never knew until she became 18 years old. At that time, her father's journals are bequeathed to her. Along with them come a family friend who discloses and advises Felicia on the next steps to take to avenge her father's death.Defiance features Pogo as head of the Enterprise or Committee, a secret underworld organization operating in drugs, contract murder, prostitution and legitimate activities. They began in their teens. They developed and expanded operations throughout their adult years. Competition wants the Enterprise shut down. Shocking events lead Pogo and his crew to plan differently from this point forward.
