When most Americans think of what constitutes a traditional journalist, they have this nostalgic idea of what makes a reporter, due in no small part to popular culture, which has instilled this concept of the Clark Kent, suit and tie, notepad carrying professional with a beat at the local newspaper. It's a stereotype of a bygone era, one which is slowly being unraveled due to community minded journalists like Timothy Knight. The enclosed story is meant to document how a one-time Young Republican chairman turned strategic Bernie Sanders voter taught himself to become a community journalist who demonstrates a dedication to reform, to truth, and objectivity above all else, even when it meant going against his own self interests.
