The Affair of the Blood-Stained Egg Cosy is a charming and quirky mystery novel by James Anderson, paying homage to the classic country-house murder mysteries of the Golden Age. Set in the 1930s, the story takes place at Alderley, a historic estate hosting a house party with an eclectic mix of guests, including English aristocracy, foreign agents, a ravishing baroness, a daring jewel thief, a Texan millionaire, and a redoubtable butler.
