The Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas (IIE UNAM) and the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC), organized the colloquium-tribute "De la modernidad ilustrada a la ilustración modernista. 50 años de vida académica de Fausto Ramírez Rojas (1968-2018)" (From modernity illustrated to modernist illustration. 50 years of academic life of Fausto Ramírez Rojas (1968-2018)). "On August 13 and 14, 2018, twenty researchers from Argentina, Brazil, Peru, the United States, Spain and Mexico met in the auditorium of the Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) of the UNAM to provide a friendly recognition and settle an intellectual debt to the trajectory of Fausto Ramírez Rojas. An essential figure in our profession that needs no introduction, but now leaves behind more than half a century of academic work and tireless teaching life.
