St. Francis' famous prayer "explores the organic relationships between the elements as an expression of the Divine ... Paul and Joan Allen examine ... the life of Francis and show how the Canticle of the Creatures can be used as a spiritual tool in today's meditative practices ... and its relation to the spiritual hierarchies of Dionysius, the ninefold path, the sublime music of Bach and Beethoven, the work of Rudolf Steiner, and the Kabbalah."--Jacket.
