Sixth in the series of Sacred Band of Stepsons novels, and the last for twenty years, until The Sacred Band, 2010, Storm Seed is the most mythological of the Sacred Band books and a sophisticated romp. This searing adventure unites the Sacred Band of Stepsons and Tempus's sister-in-arms, Cime, for a mission like no other as Tempus's shape-changing son, bent on revenge, stalks his father into tomorrow. Favorite characters, old enemies and friends, witches and warlocks, are brought together for this battle with no less than the future of the heavens at stake.
