In modern day San Francisco, Josh and Sophie Newman find themselves in the middle of a centuries old magical battle for the book of Abraham the mage which contains the secret for immortality. With help from the immortal alchemist and his wife, Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel, Sophie and Josh must protect the ancient book from Dr John Dee and the dark elders who wish to use the book to destroy the world. A great read for those who enjoy history, mythology, and lots of magic!
