"Volume 1 ... covers the life treks of 25 men who experienced tragedy. From gunfights, to shipwrecks, to falls, to unprovoked attacks, potential tragedies stalked them all and overtook quite a few. This volume also has appended a large history of the Germans in Idaho, and in particular, how this ethnic element fit into the brewing history of the state"--Publisher's description.
